‘War is now’ yet Kyiv’s streets remain calm as life goes on




Kyiv | On a busy main square in the Ukraine capital, a young soldier standing with his army mates confirms the Russian invasion is happening.

“War is coming. War is now,” he tells me, but he doesn’t believe there’s any real reason to panic. “No, not Kyiv. East. But it is war.”
